University of Windsor, One Heat Down

On Tuesday 12th March, Windsor held their first heat in their inaugural Three Minute Thesis competition.  With nine (9) students in the first heat, it was a great way to see the impact of this novel competition.  The second heat is on tomorrow (14th March) where another ten (10) students will present. Four students from each heat will go through to the final on March 18th.

So far the following students will get another chance to present their research and the possibility of representing Windsor at the Ontario 3MT competition at Queen's on the 18th April.

  1. Chris Allan (Chemistry and Biochemistry): "From your TV to the lab: exploring the reactivity of indium"
  2. Osamah Batiha (Biological Sciences): "Sex and a single gene, a lesson from the fruit fly"
  3. Jessica Menard (Psychology): "Prosody as a Moderator of the Relation between Early Reading Achievement and Reading Intervention Outcome"
  4. Sathyanarayanan Sevilimedu Veeravalli (Civil and Environmental Engineering): "Hydrogen production from low value waste"
Congratulations on making it to the final.
