Graduate Welcome and Resources Fair
If you’ve already been here (at Queen’s) for a while, don’t skip ahead assuming this post isn’t for you. Our August post series is going to be about getting back into the swing of things; hence re/orientation. Whether you’ve put down roots in Kingston or whether you’ve come from away with a couple of bags and no friends and family, we at Gradifying—me, Dustin, Jeremy, and Amanda—are here for you. Where is here? Well, not a bricks and mortar location, exactly, but we’re always only a comment or an email (firstname.lastname@example.org) away—and do say hi if you see us on campus.
One of the things we thought you should know about is the Graduate Welcome and Resources Fair on Tuesday, September 2nd. Don’t confuse this event with the ones put on by the SGPS; this resource fair is hosted jointly by the School of Graduate Studies (the administrative home of all grad programs), plus Student Affairs (the administrative branch that takes care of non-academic student services), and the SGPS (Society of Graduate and Professional Students, which is our representative body). It’s free and then some—you’ll find complimentary pancakes on offer between 8 and 9 in the morning outside the back of the Physical Education Centre (between the PEC and the Queen’s Centre). It’s for new and returning students alike.
