General Requirements

Candidates who will have completed at least 12 academic subjects (excluding physical education courses that begin with 109) in a pre-university program are eligible for admission to year one. Those who complete their DEC in a two-year pre-university program are also eligible for first-year admission and receive a maximum of 18 credit units. Students from French CEGEPs may offer two courses in Francais in lieu of English pre-requisites for all programs except Nursing, which requires a minimum of one semester of an English literature course (that begin with 603).

Graduates of a three-year professional/career CEGEP program who achieve their DEC are upper-year transfer applicants who are eligible to receive a maximum of 30 credit units. Some concentrations in the Faculty of Arts and Science are closed to upper-year transfer students. Learn more about transferring to Arts and Science.

English - two courses, two of Mathematics NYA/103, NYB/203, NYC/105 (Calculus I, Calculus II, Linear Algebra) with minimum marks of 80%.

Engineering and Computer Engineering Stream [QEC]

QBridge Engineering [QXE]

English - two courses; Chemistry NYANYB; two of Mathematics NYANYB, NYC; two of Physics NYANYB, NYC. Final grade in English must be 70%.

Nursing Science [QN]

English - two courses; Biology - two courses; Chemistry NYANYB; Mathematics - two courses. Final grade in English must be 75%.

 

Admission notes for students completing the CEGEP Curriculum:

Candidates who will have completed at least 12 academic subjects (excluding Physical Education courses that begin with 109) in a pre-university program are eligible for admission to year one. Candidates who have completed fewer than 16 academic courses will not be eligible to receive transfer credits.

Starting with admission for September 2011 - candidates who complete their DEC in a pre-university program are also eligible for first-year admission and will receive a maximum of 18.0 unspecified transfer credits.

Students from French CEGEPs may offer 2 courses in français in lieu of the English prerequisites for all programs except Nursing, which requires a minimum of one semester of an English literature course (i.e. those that begin with 603).
