Advanced Placement Course Equivalencies 

The Faculty of Arts and Science and the School of Computing grant credit for AP courses. A maximum of 18.0 credit units may be granted for Advanced Placement examinations passed with a grade of 4 or higher. Official examination results in the form of the College Board AP Grade report must be forwarded to Undergraduate Admission. Our Institution code is 0949.

A transfer credit for AP Biology can be used to access the Biology degree plans. To access the Major degree plan the student must achieve a mark of 4 or higher in AP Biology and must have the required cumulative GPA1.

The Biology department recommends that students who wish to study Biology at Queen’s take BIOL 102 AND BIOL 103. Once complete, BIOL 102 and BIOL 103 will take precedent on the student’s transcript and the AP credits for Biology will not count towards their degree.

AP Calculus AB

Exclusion: no more than 6.0 units from Math 120/6.0, MATH 121/6.0, MATH 122/6.0, MATH 124/3.0, MATH 126/6.0 and APSC 1712
