Next Steps: Incoming International Undergraduate Exchange Students

*NOTE: In order to be an Incoming International Undergraduate Exchange Student you must be nominated by your home university.

  1. If you haven’t already done so, create your NetID! This will allow you to access the Queen’s student system called SOLUS. Click here if you haven’t registered yet (You will need the Queen's Student ID number that was emailed to you).
  1. To login to your SOLUS Student Center, follow the directions on the following link: http://www.queensu.ca/registrar/solus/start
  1. Please ensure that we have your permanent contact information, as it will be used if you are required to obtain a study permit, or when you are entering Canada. Please email Maryann Severin at intstudy@queensu.ca with any changes/updates.
Note: Your Permanent Address is the address you live at while you are not attending school.  This can often be your family or home address.

  2. Your SOLUS account may be updated frequently throughout the application cycle so it is important to review it often. Any required documents you need to send to our office will show as "initiated" on the "to-do" list and will be removed once received.

  3. Arrange for your official transcript and supporting documentation to be  e-mailed or  faxed from your Home University Exchange Coordinator to:
Maryann Severin
Admission and Registration Coordinator,
International Exchanges
Fax: + 1-613-533-6810

All supporting documents, including official transcripts, English-language proficiency test scores and any faculty-specific supporting documents must be sent by your home university. Faxed or emailed documents will be accepted if they come directly from your home institution international office.  It’s recommended that supporting documents be sent to Queen’s University as soon as possible, and no later than April 30 for September entry and September 30 for January entry.
