Bachelor of Nursing Science Track of Study (4 year)

For applicants who:

  • attended university after completing high school 
  • have a 3-year diploma from an Ontario Community College (CAAT)
  • have a 3-year DEC from a professional CEGEP program

 Must have senior secondary school (grade 12 high school or equivalent):

  • Biology 
  • Chemistry
  • Mathematics
  • English (must be an English Literature course, not an English Language course)

Note: Courses in these subjects at the university level are acceptable substitutes for high school courses. Courses taken through College Certificate programs (i.e., "Pre Health") are not applicable towards the entrance requirements.

Minimum 2.7 (B-) Grade Point Average (GPA) using all university courses. Senior secondary (high school) grades will also be considered.

Transfer Credits: Credit will be granted for courses applicable to the Nursing program that have a minimum grade of 1.7 (C-).

Program Length: Four years. Transfer credits will reduce the number of Queen's courses needed to graduate, but the program remains four years in length. With rare exceptions, applicants transferring from a Nursing degree program elsewhere will be considered but only for the first year of a four-year program.
