Advanced Placement Course Equivalencies 

The Faculty of Arts and Science and the School of Computing grant credit for AP courses. A maximum of 18.0 credit units may be granted for Advanced Placement examinations passed with a grade of 4 or higher. Official examination results in the form of the College Board AP Grade report must be forwarded to Undergraduate Admission. Our Institution code is 0949.

A transfer credit for AP Biology can be used to access the Biology degree Plans. To access the Major degree plan students must achieve

a mark of 4 or higher in AP Biology and must have the required Cumulative GPA*. 

 

The Biology Department recommends that students who wish to study Biology take BIOL 102/3.0 and BIOL 103/3.0 at Queen's. Students who take BIOL 102/3.0 and BIOL 103/3.0 cannot receive a transfer credit for AP Biology.

Students are required to take MATH 120 for access to a MATH degree Plan. By taking MATH 120, the AP credit is void.
