Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner Certificate Program
The Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner Certificate Program (PHCNP) is available to graduates of a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing who have a minimum 2 years (3,640 hours) employment as a Registered Nurse in the last five years. Applicants should have a minimum cumulative B average based on their undergraduate Nursing degree.
The PHCNP program can be taken through Queen's either as a Certificate program only, or as a combined Master of Science in Nursing and a PHCNP Certificate program. Students interested in the combined Master's and Certificate program need to apply to each program separately.

Program Length:
- 1 year as a full-time student attending Queen's during the Fall, Winter and Spring/Summer terms
- 2 years as a part-time student, attending Queen's during the Fall and Winter terms in the first year, and in the second year during the Fall, Winter, and Spring/Summer terms.

Conditional offers of admission are possible for applicants who have provided required documents, except for any of the following: still working toward the completion of the requisite number of hours worked, or are waiting for their CNO registration, or are waiting for their liability insurance to come in. In these instances, the offer of admission would be conditional on the applicant being able to provide the material prior to 15 August.
