Next Steps
There are 2 important things to do in the weeks ahead. If you’re already done, you’re doing great!
Your Personal Statement of Experience
Your PSE is submitted online, from your SOLUS Student Center. To submit your PSE, locate it under the ‘Admissions’ section of your SOLUS Student Center. Click on the ‘Personal Statement of Experience and Supplementary Essay (if applicable)’ link. You will be linked to the PSE system.
As you might be able to imagine, reading the PSEs for all of you takes a great deal of time. You’ll be doing everyone a favour by having it in no later than February 15. Most importantly, the sooner we have your PSE, the sooner we can begin to consider you for earlier admission and admission scholarships.
If you haven’t submitted it yet, please start thinking about it. We also have lots of good information about submitting your PSE on our PSE Frequently Asked Questions Page.
Why would I apply for an Admission Bursary?
The Admission Bursary Application is open to Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada, who demonstrate financial need. To submit an application, locate it under the ‘Finances’ section of your Student Center. Click on the ‘Queen’s Admission Bursary Application’ link. You will be linked to the application.
When will you hear from Queen's?
We will begin to assess your application as soon as your file is complete. How do you know when your file is complete? Review your To Do List regularly on SOLUS. As you complete each item, it will be removed from your To Do List. That means the sooner you complete your application, the sooner we can begin to evaluate your application.
Admission decisions are made, on an ongoing basis, through until late May. All applicants will receive a decision on their application(s) prior to May 21. Applications are assessed individually. That means the timing of admission decisions will vary from program to program.
