New QSAA President Announced

February 22, 2016

The Queen's Student Alumni Association (QSAA) is pleased to announce Ms Jasmit De Saffel as the 2016-17 QSAA President.

Hailing from Brampton, ON, Jasmit has a passion for languages (she speaks five) and a seize-the-moment mentality. She is an attentive and enthusiastic worker with an outstanding track record of Queen's involvement. Through her roles as President of the Queen's Indian Students' Association, Amnesty International member, and former intern for the AMS Director of Media Services, Jasmit is well connected around campus.

Starting as a general Ambassador in her first year, then progressing through the Advocacy and Outreach Chair position in her second year, and finally promoting and recognizing the longstanding history of student and alumni philanthropy at Queen's this past year as the VP Giving, Jasmit has had a strong and long-standing impact on the QSAA.

She is excited to help celebrate Queen’s 175th anniversary, as well as the 90th anniversary of the QUAA and the 30th anniversary of Student-Alumni programming through appealing and innovative branding, valuable volunteer experiences, and laying the solid foundation for meaningful engagement for years to come.
