January 2013 Monthly Results
The following are highlights based on the tables below and major initiatives in the month of January:
Initiative Campaign (2006-2016)
- Campaign donations now total $331.7M (66%) against the $500M goal.
- We are currently on track to achieve our goal by 2016.
- The Initiative Campaign Cabinet met on January 30 to review progress.
Fiscal Year (May 2012- April 2013)
- Donations this Fiscal Year total $56.3M – an increase of $6M from the December total of $50.3M.
- A strong January has positioned us well, with 94% of the fiscal goal of $60M achieved.
- 6 gifts of $100K+ accounted for $3.8M of the $6.0M in donations received in January.
- 65 gifts of $100K+ account for $45.6M of the $56.3M donated this Fiscal Year – these figures support our continued emphasis on principal ($5M+) and major gifts ($100K+).
- A generous $2.15M gift from grateful parents (non-alumni) demonstrated the potential of our parents and will help inform an expanded program for parents to be developed in cooperation with Student Affairs.
Number of Donors
- Fiscal Year 2012-13 (to Jan 31): Alumni Donors – 8,161 Total Donors – 11,079
- Fiscal Year 2011-12 (to Jan 31): Alumni Donors – 7,638 Total Donors – 10,015
- Increase of 6.8% in Alumni Donors, 10.6% in Total Donors from 2011-12 to 2012-13.
Homecoming Planning Underway
- Over 70 classes and groups have already confirmed they will be returning to Kingston in fall 2013!
- Highlighted on October 4 – 6 will be the 25th reunioning classes (which have all confirmed to be participating!) joined by the 5th, 15th, 35th and 45th reunioning groups. On October 18 – 20 we honour our Tricolour Guard (alumni celebrating a reunion of 50th+ years) together with alumni celebrating their 10th, 20th, 30th and 40th reunions.
- Events (currently in development) include: the Tricolour Guard dinner, 25th Pre-Game celebration at Richardson Stadium, Tricolour Fun Run, undergraduate and graduate student showcase and networking events, Faculty and School events, a student and alumni charity event, Movies in the Square, and much more.
