First Quarter 2011-12 Advancement Results
At the end of each quarter, the Advancement Committee of the Queen's Board of Trustees receives a report from the Office of Advancement that provides an update on our progress against our goals.
Highlights from May 1, 2011 to July 31, 2011 include:
- Fundraising results are on track for the fiscal year's goal of $60 million
- The brand development process, that began in 2010, will include workshops in the fall 2011 to engage on-campus groups and alumni
- We had substantial involvement among Queen's faculty in media relations, pitching research results and faculty experts
- A Labour News website was initiated, resulting in more than 40,000 visits throughout the quarter
- The Queen's News Centre showed enormous growth in traffic throughout the period
- The new Alumni homepage saw web traffic increase by 32%
- Satisfaction with Queen's alumni events and activities exceeded targets
- Alumni participation in Affinity Partner programs generated significant revenue
- Interaction with alumni via Facebook increased significantly year-over-year in this quarter
- Repeat alumni engagement is trending upward
- Strong positive correlation between engaged alumni and giving continues
