Country Music - Tour Summary

Take in picturesque vistas, impressive architecture and historic landmarks in a region renowned for its spectacular country music as you cruise the Tennessee and Cumberland Rivers aboard the elegant American Queen. Begin with a stay in America’s Music City, Nashville, an exciting cultural hub boasting the Country Music Hall of Fame and the famous Grand Ole Opry House. Then board the largest and most opulent riverboat in the world and cruise east to Dover, blending small-town charm with beautiful scenery. Delve into its rich Civil War history at Fort Donelson National Battlefield and Cemetery, site of one of the first significant Union victories, before heading to Clifton, a delightful town edging the great Tennessee River. Fascinating Civil War relics abound in Savannah, including the Cherry Mansion, which General Grant used as a Union Headquarters, and the nearby Shiloh National Military Park, honouring the epic 1862 battle in Tennessee. In Florence, admire the revered Rosenbaum House, the only home in Alabama designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, and in Decatur, take in marvellous Victorian architecture and Alabama’s oldest opera house, before concluding your journey in Chattanooga.
