Swiss Alps & the Italian Lakes Tour Summary

Literary luminaries in the 19th century heralded the treasures of Switzerland and Italy in praise-filled travelogues. Follow in their footsteps as you explore the best of the Swiss Alps and Italy’s Lake District. Indulge in the cosmopolitan ambience of the jet set resort town of St. Moritz, your gateway to the picturesque village of Zuoz and the scenic Bernina Express. Then, cross the border into Italy and the historic town of Stresa, nestled on the shores of Lake Maggiore. Explore Lake Orta, and admire the spectacular frescoes on the legendary island of San Giulio. See Leonardo da Vinci’s “The Last Supper” and the opulent 14th-century Duomo in the vibrant city of Milan. Visit baroque villas in the beautiful Borromean Islands, and see rare birds, exotic gardens and a 16th-century palace filled with antiques. This eight-night Alumni Campus Abroad program includes all excursions, first-class accommodations in two cites, educational programs, an extensive meal plan and wine with dinner.
