Cruise the Waterways of Russia

This exciting program showcases two of Russia’s largest cities and the countryside in between, a beautiful region largely untouched by tourism. In Moscow enjoy specially arranged visits to the Kremlin, the Armoury Museum, the State Tretyakov Gallery, and Red Square, dominated by St. Basil’s Cathedral. Visit historic Uglich, Yaroslavl, home to one of Russia’s oldest monasteries, and Goritsy, once closed to western visitors. Journey to Kizhi Island, whose churches stand as silent testimony to the skills of Russian craftsmen, and the quaint village of Mandrogi. The artistic and cultural delights of St. Petersburg await: visit the State Hermitage Museum, which has one of the most extensive art collections in the world, Peterhof, Peter the Great’s magnificent palace, and Catherine’s Palace, home to the famous Amber Room re-creation.
