Show Your Community Spirit
Rain or shine, you can always count on our dedicated Calgary Queen's grads (…and rain it did!). On June 12 2011, the Calgary Queen’s Branch cheered, chanted, and paraded at the Spruce Meadows “Show Your Community Spirit” event. In doing so, we successfully raised $500 for the branch. This money will help with future branch events and the Calgary Branch Bursary.
The 2010 Underwear Affair - Bring Awareness to Down There-ness
A dedicated group of Queen's alumni came together on June 5 to raise money for cancer below the belt. The group worked tirelessly to raise money and would like commend all Queen's alumni for their support. The group successfully raised more than $2,000 and proudly show their queen's spirit to all. Good job, everyone and Team Captain, Andrea Mosher!
CIBC Run for the Cure - Raise Funding for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation since 2009
Every October, Team Queen’s Grads along with over 10,000 Calgarians, laced up their running shoes and put on their warm hoodies and mittens to participate in the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure. Falling snow did not deter this enthusiastic Team for such a great cause and thousands of dollars were raised by the Team. Fantastic work, Team Queen’s Grads!
