Queen's University

March 26, 2014 [Sc'69 Crest]

Dear Sc ’69 Classmate,

45 years ago you graduated from Queen’s. You left a lot of friends that day, some you have kept in touch with and many you have lost. Let’s get together again at Homecoming this year October 17th to 19th.

We are working on some specific events for our class. If you have any great ideas please let us know. We have planned for a “Meet and Greet” type event Friday Evening. Saturday we will go for a photo op, campus visits and the football game including walking together in the half time parade. Saturday night we will have a class dinner.
There are also a variety of University events planned, including:
•  Faculty events
Networking opportunities for students and alumni
Student-organized events to welcome us back
  Football Game and Parade

Details about our reunion plans will come in our next letter, which we’ll send out in late spring/early summer.

So what do you need to do?

1.       Email us to let us know what your ideas for our reunion are, and to let us know if you are planning to attend. The more we know about who is coming and what you might want to do the better we can plan the weekend.

2.      Visit our class webpage regularly for updates on our plans. You can also find lots of information at the main Homecoming website  including how to register for the weekend - registration will be live later on in the spring.

3.     Make sure the University has your preferred email address. To stay informed about our plans, please send your email address to Queen's .

4.    Book your accommodation. Kingston is already heavily booked for this weekend. We have arranged two block bookings at the Travelodge Lasalle on Princess St. You can call 1-(800) 567-0751 or email them  to reserve your room. One block is in the main hotel (with booking code CGHRYN) and the other is in the motel portion of the facility (booking code CGMOTE). We have 31 rooms in total so please book early.

5.    We will be working on a class giving initiative, more to follow.

6.   Help us find our missing classmates! Included on our class webpage is a list of classmates who have fallen out of touch . If you are in contact with them, please have them email Alumni Relations  or call 1-800-267-7837 so that we can notify them about our Reunion plans.

We’ll let you know when registration opens for Homecoming Weekend. Looking forward to seeing you this fall!

Cha Gheill!!
