Backpack to Briefcase 

Connecting students to their future as alumni, the Backpack to Briefcase program is designed to provide outside-the-classroom skills instruction.

Here are just some of the topics we are planning for winter term of the 2012-13 school year:

This interactive workshop focused on customizing sections of your resume to demonstrate a match between you and your desired job. The workshop will focused on how to put your best self forward on paper or online.  Contact Career Servicesfor more information.

Highlights from the session included:
- Have several stories/experiences that can be used to illustrate your skills
- Asking questions can be just as important as answering them
- When answering the question 'Your Weakness', be honest but re-frame the situation to  how you are working on improving this

Leave a Lasting Impression - Held on February 28, 2013
Discuss career opportunities, share experiences, and top up your knowledge on the ‘how-to’s of networking in a session led by Queen's University Alumni Association President Jess Joss, Artsci’96. In addition to her work with the QUAA, Jess is also the co-owner of Insiteful Solutions, a web development, e-commerce and online marketing firm.
