Breaking the Silence: The 2nd Annual Bell Lecture on Mental Health and Anti-Stigma featuring Heather Stuart, Bell Canada Mental Health and Anti-Stigma Research Chair, and Barbara Crook, Artsci’79, Philanthropist and Mental Health Advocate. They discussed the origins and nature of mental illness stigma and how it impacts those suffering from mental illness, their family and friends. The lecture focused on on five simple things each of us can do in our daily lives to play a role in eradicating the stigma around mental health issues.
