Queen's University

55 years to the day

On May 27, 1957, the graduating members of the 1957 Faculty of Medicine class would have had no idea that—55 years later to the day—they would be returning to campus to celebrate such a significant reunion milestone.

As Dr. Ettinger, Dean of Medicine, said in the 1957 yearbook, “You do not leave Queen’s, for you have become a part of it; wherever you go, the marks of your University will be plain for all of us to see. We welcomed you six years ago; now we bid you “good-bye,” grateful for the privilege of assisting you in your maturity and proud of your attainments. I hope that [the world] welcomes you and gives you happiness through service.”

We look forward to welcoming all returning members of the Class of 1957 back to campus this May and hearing about where the last 55 years have taken you.

Please visit the 1957 section of the Spring Reunion website for more information.
