One to Watch Award

This award recognizes recent Queen's graduates (less than 5 years out) from both an undergraduate and graduate program who are making significant contributions in their field of endeavour, setting an example for future young Queen's alumni to follow. Alumni, students, faculty, staff, retirees, and members of the public are invited to submit nominations.

Gemma Boag, Artsci'08

Gemma, an Agri-Environmental Policy Analyst with Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, is working to improve domestic agri-environmental performance in areas such as watershed health. In collaboration with Canadian and international NGOs she is also engaged in raising awareness about local water issues and supporting improved water and sanitation access in marginalized communities

Gemma was honoured at the QUAA’s gala awards evening in Grant Hall on October 15 as part of the Alumni Volunteer Summit.
