Rosemary Macklem is Tax Technical Leader with KPMG’s National Tax office in Toronto, focusing on providing technical resources, and learning and development to KPMG’s Tax professionals. Rosemary has over 25 years of tax experience working in Toronto, London and Ottawa providing tax advice to KPMG clients in various industries including real estate, high technology, manufacturing and the charitable sector.

She has worked extensively in corporate reorganizations and estate planning. Rosemary takes an active role in the learning program for tax professionals at KPMG. Rosemary obtained a Commerce degree from Queen’s University in 1983.

Rosemary has tutored for the CICA and has made presentations to the corporate and charitable sector. She is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants Canada, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario and the Canadian Tax Foundation. Rosemary was on the Board of Directors of The National Capital Region YMCA-YWCA from 2011 – 2014. She is also past Director of the Dovercourt Recreation Association in Ottawa, and helped them obtain their charitable status. Rosemary was formerly the Treasurer of the Mont Cascades Ski Race team.

As a member of the Gift Planning Advisory Committee, Rosemary is pleased to have the opportunity to marry her technical experience with her deep, family connection to Queen’s.
