Donor Story
This scholarship has been created by the Board of Directors of Export Development Canada (EDC) in memory of Dr. Adam Chowaniec. During his seven years on the EDC Board, Adam left an indelible mark on the corporation. His contributions were immense and he brought a wealth of experience and knowledge, humour, perspective and passion to his role. Above all, Adam was a champion of young people and entrepreneurs throughout his career. This award is meant to honour Adam’s memory and inspire students to cultivate their entrepreneurial spirit.
Fund Description:
Established in September 2019 in memory of Dr. Adam Chowaniec, MSc 1972, by his colleagues at Export Development Canada. Awarded on the basis of demonstrated financial need and demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit to students in any year of a Bachelor of Applied Science degree program in the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science.
