Keeping Hospitals Healthy

In collaboration with Dr. Dick Zoutman, a professor in biomedical and molecular sciences, a team from Medizone International has developed the AsepticSure™ hospital sterilization system.

The system, designed at Innovation Park at Queen’s University, is expected to drastically reduce the incidence of nosocomial infections in hospitals. To date, trials by Medizone's research team at Queen's have not yet found a pathogen which does not succumb to the AsepticSure decontamination system.

It is also predicted that AsepticSure™ could save hospitals $6 to $7 for each $1 invested in the technology, due to reduced costs associated with prolonged admissions, re-admissions, use of antibiotics, and ICU care.
