The School of Music at Queen's University is a dynamic academic and artistic unit that presents regular performances by our talented students and faculty members to the Kingston community. We are proud to to present the following two performances as part of artignite 2012.
FACULTY ARTIST SERIES
(Cello & Piano Recital Featuring Wolf Tormann, cello and Cynthia Tormann, piano)

Description: Wolf Tormann, cello and Cynthia Tormann, piano will present a varied program highlighted by major sonatas composed by Alfred Schnittke and Sergel Rachmaninoff.
"A NIGHT IN VIENNA"
Friday, 10 February and Saturday, 11 February
Venue: Grant Hall
Time: 7:30 pm
Admission: $20 balcony; $55 single for a table of 8 on the floor with food; $400 for entire table of 8.
On Friday, February 10, and again on Saturday, February 11, Grant Hall will be transformed into an enchanting Viennese Ball, as the School of Music presents "A Night in Vienna". Produced by Bruce Kelly, this delightful event will feature Austrian music, song and dance, featuring the Queen's Symphony Orchestra, directed by Gordon Craig, vocal students, alumni and faculty members, as well as spectacular ballroom dancers. Floor table ticket holders will be treated to delectable Austrian treats including a special presentation of the famous Sacher Torte Dessert. All ticket holders are able to purchase European and domestic alcoholic beverages, and waltz the night away to the music of Johann Strauss and other Viennese masters. Enjoy the wonderful opportunity to travel to Vienna without the travel component - and be prepared to have a lovely Night in Vienna!
