History of artignite
artignite is a collaboration between Queen's University, the City of Kingston, Downtown Kingston, and many Kingston arts groups and artists.
Conceived of in 2009, artignite 's goals are to:
• raise awareness about the arts events and opportunities that exist in Kingston
• promote Kingston's artists and its cultural life
• provide venues where students and community members can come together
In its two years, artignite has brought students and the Kingston community together through artistic collaboration and creative expression, showcasing local talent and celebrating diversity of art form, audience and artists. Over 35 different arts organizations have participated in artignite and we look forward to a number of these groups participating in 2012.
