For two amazing weeks (Friday, January 27 to Sunday, February 12, 2012), those who participate in artignite will have the opportunity to:
• be part of an arts celebration that will feature over 200 local events
• promote your event to more than 100,000 people in the Kingston and Queen's communities
• publicize your event as part of artignite
• be part of a published calendar of events, with your logo and weblink
• offer the citizens of Kingston and students at Queen's a unique, cultural experience
Your organization will be asked to:
• implement your program during the two-week period
• provide information about your performance, organization and other details for our calendar of events
• be responsible for your own venue, program costs, insurance and ticket sales
• promote artignite through your promotional materials and program
• sign a release agreement
Interested parties should complete the "Call for Submission to Participate in artignite 2012 (DOC 409KB)" & "Agreement to Terms & Conditions (DOC 410 KB)" forms and submit to info.artignite@queensu.ca by Monday, 17 October, 2011.
The Program/Selection Committee consists of representatives across artistic disciplines from the Kingston community and Queen's University, noted for their experience and interest in the arts. In reviewing proposals and programming events for artignite, the Program Committee will consider the following factors:
• balance across the artistic disciplines
• artistic merit
• a diverse mix of established and emerging talent (including professional and amateur)
• benefit to the Kingston community events
All decisions are final and applicants will receive notification of a decision about their submission by Thursday, 17 November, 2011.
