Dr. Susan Mumm is an historian of Victorian Britain.  Her doctorate was awarded by the University of Sussex, where she held a Commonwealth Scholarship.  Her earlier degrees were taken at the University of Saskatchewan.  She is a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society, and has published a number of books and articles in her area of research.

Before becoming Dean on August 1, 2013, Dr. Mumm served as Pro Vice-Chancellor, College of Humanities and Social Sciences, at Massey University, New Zealand.
