Hello first years! My name is Michael and I’m a second year Life Science SSP student hailing from Richmond Hill, Ontario. Looking forward, I hope to study medicine and one day practice as a rheumatologist. When I’m not slaving away at my books, you may find me juggling in a local park (yes I am absolutely willing to teach you how to juggle) or practicing 9-ball pool with The Black Keys blaring in the background. Before I moved to beautiful Kingston, I was involved in volunteer initiatives at my local hospital and town. On campus, I’m a member of the Queen’s/Kingston Jugglers’ Club and a monthly contributor for the student-run magazine called Nerve, but I’m hoping to get more involved in the coming year. I encourage you to explore the variety of wonderful things this university has to offer in your first year because eight months will be over before you know it. Welcome to the Queen’s community and I look forward to meeting all of you!
