Queen’s and Blyth Educational Travel will begin offering unique study abroad programs to university students and lifelong learners from around the world this spring.
“Our aim is to provide an unmatched educational experience by combining exceptional instructors who are passionate about teaching with customized field studies in a supportive learning environment,” says Jim Lee, Associate Dean (International), Faculty of Arts and Science, and Academic Director of the Queen’s-Blyth International Studies Program.
When Queen's University professor Anne Godlewska encountered a large class size last year, her first thought wasn't about how she was going to handle the workload, it was about how she was going to teach her students.
"I thought to myself, 'I don't want to teach huge classes of people I never get to know' … there's just no joy in teaching that way," she said.
Instead, she decided to conduct a study and the early results were remarkable.
