What is the overall academic experience of first-year students in the Faculty of Arts and Science?
To gain insight into this question, we conducted a survey of first-year Arts and Science students towards the end of the Fall Term 2013. The survey was repeated at the end of the Winter Term 2014.
The survey asked students about the academic challenges they faced, what they valued in their courses, and how they were managing their challenges.
The results of the survey also suggest ways in which the learning experience of students can be improved. They have been shared widely across the Faculty and with the University’s support services.
