We are pleased to submit our report to Principal Daniel Woolf as part of the ongoing academic planning process at Queen’s. Imagining the Future: Towards an Academic Plan for Queen’s University (800 KB)
Thank you to the students, faculty, staff and alumni who took time to share their ideas, thoughts and visions for Queen’s in the future. We received valuable input in writing as well as in person, in both small and large meetings, over the summer.
We also spent many hours reviewing the thoughtful responses to the Principal’s vision document, “Where Next?", that were submitted in the spring by academic and non-academic units across campus.
We offer several goals and recommendations under sections called Planning for the Future, Differentiating Queen's, The Core Missions, The Learning Experience, and The Queen's Community. These provide a framework that we hope can be used as the University develops an academic plan and charts its path forward.
We encourage the Queen’s community to keep providing input as the planning process continues and the ideas in this report are developed further through the Academic Planning Task Force.
