We are a diverse science department dedicated to research and academic excellence. Our research spans a wide array of biological disciplines including plant sciences, biochemistry, proteomics, cell and molecular biology, animal physiology, limnology, evolution, ecology and behaviour.
We have 30 full-time faculty, 11 of whom hold research chairs. With more than 90 graduate students, some $3 million per year in research funding, and a dynamic undergraduate thesis and field course program, we are one of the premier destinations for post-secondary biology education in Canada.
