BIOL 243/3.0 INFORMATION
This is an introductory statistics and data management course that focuses on biological applications and examples. For that reason, no other statistics course (including PSYC202) can be used as a substitute for BIOL243/3.0 in our plans and programs.
BIOL243 is also a prerequisite for BIOL302 and BIOL303. We currently permit students who have taken PSYC202/3.0 to use this course as an alternative prerequisite for BIOL302 and BIOL303. However, without the background obtained in BIOL243, such students will be disadvantaged and may be required to do additional work to make up for the differences in stats backgrounds that result.
