BISC Celebrates 20th Anniversary Reunion: July 2013

From July 26-28, 2013, the Bader International Study Centre is hosting a reunion for former students, staff, and faculty to celebrate twenty years of exceptional international education at Herstmonceux Castle. We want you, as Alumni of the BISC, to help us celebrate - regardless of the year you studied at the Castle.

We are planning a weekend that will include a champagne reception, special seminars, a mystery field trip, a formal dinner, a disco, plus plenty of down time to relax on the grounds, in the Castle, at the Headless Drummer pub, or in Bader Hall so you can catch up with old friends and colleagues.

 

BISC 2013 Reunion Registration Instructions

Registration Opens: Monday 1st October, 2012

Registration Closes: Monday 20th May, 2013

To register for the reunion please call Bader Hall Reception.  Reservations can be made between 9:00am and 7:00pm BST seven days a week.

When you call Bader Reception, staff will take your information and require a non-refundable £50.00 deposit for each adult person in your party in order to complete the reservation.  Payments can be made with Mastercard, American Express, and Diners Club credit cards as well as Visa debit and credit cards.

Be sure to let the Reception staff know if anyone in your party has accessibility requirements (e.g. mobility challenges, hearing or sight impairments, etc.) so that we can determine how we can meet your needs.

If you cannot call Bader Reception, you can register via e-mail by sending all of the following details to accom@bisc.queensu.ac.uk:

  1. Your title (Mrs., Dr., etc.), first name, and last name
  2. The term(s) you studied at the Castle
  3. The number of people in your reservation
  4. The name and term of study of your guest if they are BISC alumni
  5. The type of room(s) you are requesting for your stay
  6. Your credit card number, expiry date, and security number (last 3 digits on the back of the card)
  7. The e-mail address to which you want the confirmation e-mail sent

You will receive a confirmation of your reservation via e-mail.  After your reservation is confirmed our BISC Alumni Coordinator will contact you to gather important information about dietary requirements and other details that will help us plan the reunion.

Reunion Registration Packages

Prices below are per person and include two nights of accommodation, plus all costs associated with organised meals and activities that will take place between check-in at 2:00pm Friday, 26th July, 2013 and the departure time of 12:00pm Sunday, 28th July, 2013.  

All prices are in Pounds Sterling (£) and are per person based on two sharing, unless otherwise stated.

Saturday-Only Day Delegate Package

We are pleased to introduce a Day Delegate package to those who are only able to attend the activities planned for Saturday 27th July. The cost of the day-only package is £90 and includes:

Welcome drinks, Seminar, Mystery Field Trip, Commemorative Photo, Courtyard drinks, FormalDinner and Evening Entertainment.

If you would prefer to stay in Bader Hall on Saturday night we can offer the following packages:

Day Delegate plus standard bedroom = £130

Day Delegate plus ensuite bedroom = £150

Standard Package

Shared twin standard bedroom with shared washroom facilities (traditional student bedrooms in B, C & D wings) = £200.00

Upgraded Packages

Single standard room with shared washroom facilities (traditional student bedroom in B, C & D wings) = £208.00 

Shared double/twin en suite bedroom (mostly in A wing) = £237.00 

Single en suite bedroom (mostly in A wing) = £262.00

Family Package

Apartment to accommodate up to two (2) adults & two (2) children maximum (in A wing) = £264.00

This price is per adult. Children under the age of fourteen (14) years qualify for free accommodation.  

N.B.  Children between the ages of 5 and 14 must pay £70.00 each to cover the costs associated with their participation in the reunion, but children under the age of five (5) may attend for FREE.  All children are welcome at all meals, including the formal dinner.


ALL rooms and packages are available on a first come, first served basis.

 

Please note that it may not be possible for us to place anyone in the room in which they lived while they studied/worked at the BISC.
