First-Year Program

Spend your first year of University abroad, exploring the UK and Europe, while taking Queen's accredited courses

Students Under the Stone ArchThe First-Year Program gives students at any one of the following CUSAP partner institutions the opportunity to spend their entire first year of university at the BISC:

  • University of Victoria
  • Huron University College
  • Queen's University
  • Dalhousie University

Students can apply to the First-Year Program through one or more of these universities. Following the completion of the First-Year Program, students return to their home university to complete the remainder of their undergraduate program.

Every course you take is a Queen's University degree credit course, accepted by our CUSAP partner institutions.  Classes are capped at thirty students, encouraging interaction and dialogue with professors and classmates.  The First-Year Program includes high-level classroom work, relevant field-studies, and cultural-studies trips and excursions.
