Upper-Year Program

Emphasizing international and intercultural learning, the BISC's Upper-Year Program offers a flexible range of Queen's accredited courses in the Humanities, Social Sciences, Creative Arts, Languages, Commerce, and Nursing. The Program is available to students worldwide who have completed at least one year of university study in any degree program. See CUSAP and International Partners.

Weekly field-studies trips throughout the United Kingdom and continental Europe are an essential and integrated element of all Upper-Year Program courses.

Students have the option of attending for a term or more during the academic year, or taking advantage of the BISC's Summer programs. Upper-Year participants complete five courses during each of the 12-week Fall and Winter Terms (the equivalent of 15 Queen's units per term), three courses during the 6-week Summer Term (the equivalent of 9 Queen's units), and two courses during the 5-week Summer Field Schools (the equivalent of 6 Queen's units).
