English Language Proficiency for the BISC

  • English is the language of instruction at the BISC
  • Candidates must be able to communicate competently in both oral and written English to succeed.
  • The minimum standard for entrance into the UK is Level B2, however the BISC requires a Level C1 score for admission. The UKBA language requirements are the minimum requirements for you to be able to study in the UK. The BISC has its own language requirements in order to ensure student success in the program.
  • We will consider applicants who meet the UKBA requirements, but fall short of the BISC requirements, for a Full year or Fall/Winter semester. In this case the student will only take 4 courses and will participate in our ESL support program to guarantee their success and enjoyment of the program.
