Program fees include

  • Tuition
  • Field studies trips: transportation, entrance fees and packed lunches, as well as accommodation and breakfast on overnight excursions
  • Room and board: shared accommodation (2 students per room) and full meal plan
  • Access to BISC facilities and services:, including computing rooms, a library, and a fully equipped gym
  • Regular trips to (and borrowing privileges at) the libraries at the University of Sussex
  • Frequent banking/shopping trips to nearby towns
  • Transfers to and from Heathrow airport on designated dates

Program fees do not include

  • Return airfare to and from the UK (Typically >$700)
  • Visa cost (£335 for a Tier 4 Student (General) Visa as of June 2017)
  • Supplemental health insurance ($298.50 for academic year 2017/18 through AMS - other options are available)
  • Immigration Health Surcharge (£150 as of June 2017)
  • Textbooks and course supplies
  • Personal expenses and laundry
  • Lunches and dinners on overnight excursions

  • All fees are in Canadian dollars
  • We are a charity institution, and we endeavour to keep tuition and residence fees as low as is commensurate with retaining the quality of our programs. Our fees will incorporate increase in tuition approved by the province of Ontario.

Fee Payment Schedule

The 2017-18 fees are payable according to the following schedule:

  • Fall - September 1st, 2017
  • Winter - January 10th, 2018
  • Summer - due by session start, 2017
