We have a number of facilities accessible to students on campus, including, but not limited to, our residence, IT services, a library, a dining hall, sports facilities, learning spaces (in the castle and the residence), laundry facilities, and computer labs (in the castle and the residence).

We also have the Headless Drummer Pub, which has a fully licensed bar, and is located on the ground floor of the Castle. On occasion, special events are held in the pub, including theme nights, and there is also a coin-operated pool table and an assortment of games available for student use. You should note that the legal drinking age in England is 18. If you are 16-17, you may still go into a pub, but you cannot purchase alcohol nor have it purchased for you. This rule is strictly enforced at the Castle.

If you need money but cannot get into town we also have a Cashing Facility on campus that operates twice-weekly. You can cash up to £50 each time for a charge of £1 and up to £100 for £2. Sterling traveler’s cheques and credit or debit cards backed by VISA or MasterCard can be used to obtain cash on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:15pm-2:15pm.
