Popular Destinations

Here, you'll find examples of past course specific field studies trips. Although the destinations and academic content stay relatively constant from one year to the next, some change does occur from year to year depending on the curriculum outlined by the professor.

London

• Commerce classes have visited Lloyd's of London, the world's leading insurance broker, for a tour and introduction to a career as a broker
• History classes have travelled to the Imperial War Museum to learn more about conflicts from the First World War to the present day
• Drama classes have attended many productions at the National Theatre
• Political Studies classes have visited the British House of Parliament as well as the BBC Television Centre
• Music classes have attended a performance of "Turandot" at the Royal Opera House
• Other destinations have included The Bank of England Museum, the Guardian Newspaper Newsroom, the Jewish Museum, Windsor Castle and the London Central Mosque.

Brighton

• Geography students have participated in a walking tour in the city of Brighton
• Music classes have attended a performance by the Warsaw Philharmonic at the Brighton Dome
• Interdisciplinary Studies classes have attended the Brighton Comedy Festival

• English classes have watched Shakespeare's plays in Stratford-upon-Avon at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre
• Politics classes have visited The Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh, Scotland
• Religious Studies classes have attended the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford
• Interdisciplinary Studies have attended the Beatles Story in Liverpool
• Students enrolled in International Studies courses have visited the Jane Austen Centre in Bath
• Physics students have traveled to the Royal Observatory in Greenwich for hands-on experience in astronomy
