Popular Destinations

On this page, you will find examples of past Optional Excursions. The Student Services Teams designs many of these excursions based on feedback they receive from students, so if you have an idea for a trip, be sure to let them know!

Stonehenge and Salisbury

Students have travelled to witness the soaring elegance of Salisbury Cathedral, completed in the 1200s, and to see the mysterious ancient stone circle of Stonehenge.

Wales

Students have travelled to Wales for a weekend, staying at an early Victorian-era mansion in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park. Activities included gorge walking and hiking in the National Park, located in the mountainous region of North Wales.

Other Destinations

A popular request in the past has been a trip to a football match from the Premier League — the elite soccer league of England and Wales.

Many students enjoy visiting Cambridge, north of London, the site of one of the world's most famous universities.

Optional trips to France, Germany, and Spain have been offered in the past, and each year many students organize trips on their own, or with friends, to destinations in the UK and beyond.
