The Student Services team consists of a Student Services Manager, two Assistant Student Services Managers, and three Student Life Coordinators (SLCs).
Within the department, the Student Services Manager (SSM) is responsible for the quality of student life at the Bader International Study Centre and helps to look after residence life at Bader Hall. The SSM looks after student health and safety issues, personal counselling matters and student non-academic discipline. The Student Services Manager supervises the Assistant Managers and SLCs and manages all departmental budgetary decisions, policies, programmes and services.
The two full-time continuing Assistant Student Services Managers (ASSMs) organise a variety of extra-curricular activities including sports, trips off-site to a number of destinations, and volunteering opportunities. They are responsible for organising large-scale events on campus including student arrivals, Orientation Week, the End of Term celebration and student departures. They are also the link between the students and the local community, non-voting members of Student Council during Fall & Winter semesters, and make arrangements for medical appointments. .Along with the SLCs, they live in Bader Hall and act as a resource for students and participate in the on-call rotation.
The three Student Life Co-ordinators are recent university graduates who usually work at the Castle for one or two terms, and are the first point of contact for students both when things go well and when they have problems. They run events and maintain the community for their assigned corridors in Bader Hall, and provide assistance to the ASSMs.
