Electives
Students may fulfill their elective requirement by selecting any course as listed under Complementary Studies (first year linkage courses excluded) or any third or fourth year Applied Science course for which the prerequisite requirements have been satisfied.

Complementary Studies
Refer to the Complementary Studies section of this calendar for details regarding the requirements for all Engineering programs.  For the Mining Program, the Engineering Economics course is APSC 321, and the Communications requirements are met through courses taken in the core program.  Included in the core program is an additional 42 units of Linkage in MINE 462.
