Established from the estate of Harold Bair Chambers in memory of his wife Dorothy Warne Chambers. Two one-year fellowships tenable in the Departments English, History or Philosophy are awarded to students in a Doctoral degree program at Queen's University. The fellowship is to be used to help defray travel costs associated with research projects in distant North American destinations or abroad. Applicants should provide an outline of their dissertation research, a description of the work to be undertaken abroad, and an estimate of the costs. The recipient will be chosen through the adjudication process of the Graduate Dean's Travel Grant for Doctoral Field Research competition.
