Established by friends, family alumni, and colleagues in memory of Richard J. Hand, dedicated professor and Dean of the School of Business, Vice-Principal (Resources) at Queen's, and cherished colleague and friend. Awarded annually, on the basis of academic achievement, to one or more students entering or enrolled in the doctoral program in management at Queen's. As far as possible the award will be given to a student who exemplifies the values so dearly held by Professor Hand: service to Queen's and the community, leadership, humanity, and the pursuit of excellence. Preference will be given to individuals who hold an undergraduate degree from Queen's. Application to be made to the Chair of Doctoral Program in Management. Selection will be made by the Chair in conjunction with the Ph.D. committee. Deadline: 1 November.
