Students in major or medial concentrations must apply for admission to honours at the end of the penultimate year. To be admitted to honours, students must meet faculty requirements (see Academic Regulation 23) and also the departmental requirement that a student in a major concentration have an average of at least 70 per cent in 5.0 previous history credits, including all 300- and 400-level history courses taken, and a student in a medial concentration have an average of at least 70 per cent in 4.0 previous history credits, including all 300- and 400-level history courses taken.
