To be admitted to honours in Political Studies for a major concentration, a student must meet the Faculty requirements (Academic Regulation 23) and in addition have:
a achieved an overall average of 70 per cent on a group of 5.0 credits in politics, which must include:
iii 1.0 politics credit at the 100 level or above;
iv 2.0 politics credits at the 200 level.
b completed POLS 384* (which may be included in the group of 5.0 credits used to satisfy requirement).
To be admitted to honours in Political Studies for a medial concentration, a student must meet the Faculty requirements (Academic Regulation 23) and in addition have:
a achieved an overall average of 70 per cent on a group of 5.0 credits in politics, which must include:
iii 1.0 politics credit at the 100 level or above;
iv 2.5 politics credits at the 200 level.
b completed POLS 384* (which may be included in the group of 5.0 credits used to satisfy requirement).
NOTES
1 Students who are qualified for admission to honours must apply by mid-May. Students seeking to qualify for admission to honours after that deadline may return in the following academic year to try to improve their standing, and then submit an application for admission to honours the following May.
2 Fourth-year students' programs must be approved by the Undergraduate Chair.
