Students who have been admitted to the medial program apply for admission to honours at the end of the penultimate year. Students must meet faculty requirements (see Academic Regulation 23) including the completion of 14.0 credits and the following three additional requirements prior to being admitted to honours: 1 complete at least 4.0 credits toward the Global Development Studies medial, including DEVS 200* or DEVS 210* or DEVS 220*; DEVS 300*; plus two of ECON 239*, HIST 231*, SOCY 225*, DEVS 200* or DEVS 210* or DEVS 220* (not previously counted); one of DEVS 309*, DEVS 310*, DEVS 320*, DEVS 330*, ENSC 315*, GPHY 365*, POLS 346*, GNDS 330* (or WMNS 330*); and 1.5 credits from the Regional and the Thematic courses. First year prerequisite courses are not counted in the 4.0 credits required for Admission to Honours. 2 achieve an average of at least 70 per cent on the best four core 0.5 credits at the 200 and 300 level. (See items 2 and 3 under Bachelor of Arts (Honours) above.) 3 achieve a minimum grade of 65 per cent in DEVS 200* or DEVS 210* or DEVS 220*, and DEVS 300*.
