Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - BAH
Major Concentration - MAJ (Consists of 10.0 credits as described below and 9.0 elective credits to total 19.0)
Spanish - SPAN
10.0 credits in Spanish.The courses chosen must not duplicate work already completed either in university of pre-university study.4.0 credits must be at the 300 level or above.Required courses include the following: SPAN 010* and SPAN 112* (or SPAN 101), SPAN 204* and SPAN 205*(or SPAN 201), SPAN 301*, SPAN 302* (or SPAN 303*, SPAN 304*), SPAN 251 and SPAN 261, SPAN 247* and SPAN 248*, and SPAN 401* and SPAN 402* plus 2.0 credits at the 300 level or above. 1.0 creditfrom IDIS 200 or IDIS 201 is acceptable for credit toward fulfilling the requirements of this program. 1.0 credit in Italian may be substituted for SPAN 501* and SPAN 502*, or SPAN 503* and SPAN 504*, provided that only one of SPAN 010* and SPAN 112* (or SPAN 101),ITLN 010* and ITLN 112* (or ITLN 101), is included in the concentration.
Students entering with previous knowledge of Spanish and placing out of specific language courses may replace those credits with literature and/or culture courses.

Medial Concentrations - MED (Consists of 7.0 credits in each of two concentrations, one of which must be in the humanities, social sciences or languages. 1.0 or 2.0 supporting credits may be required and 3.0 or 4.0 elective credits to total 19.0)
Spanish - SPAN
7.0 credits in Spanish.The courses chosen must not duplicate work already completed either in university of pre-university study.2.0 credits must be at the 300 level or above.Required courses include the following:SPAN 010* and SPAN 112* (or SPAN 101),SPAN 204* and SPAN 205* (or SPAN 201), SPAN 301*, SPAN 302* (or SPAN 303*, SPAN 304*), SPAN 251 or SPAN 261, and SPAN 247* or SPAN 248* plus 2.0 credits at the 300 level or above. 1.0 creditfrom IDIS 200 or IDIS 201is acceptable for credit toward fulfilling the requirements of this program.1.0 credit in Italian may be substituted, provided that only one of SPAN 010* and SPAN 112* (or SPAN 101),ITLN 010* and ITLN 112* (ITLN 101), is included in the concentration.

Italian - ITLN
7.0 credits in Italian.The courses chosen must not duplicate work already completed either in university of pre-university study.2.0 credits must be at the 300 level or above.Required courses include the following:ITLN 010* and ITLN 112* (or ITLN 101), ITLN 204*, ITLN 205*, ITLN 300*, ITLN 301* and ITLN 230 plus 2.0 credits at the 300 level or above. IDIS 200 or IDIS 201 is acceptable for 1.0 credit toward fulfilling the requirements of this program. Up to 2.0 credits may be substituted for 2.0 credits in Italian, provided that only one of ITLN 010* and ITLN 112* (or ITLN 101), SPAN 010* and SPAN 112* (or SPAN 101) is included in the concentration. Acceptable substitutions are ARTH 213, ARTH 245 and the equivalent of 1.0 credit in Spanish.
Students entering with previous knowledge of Italian and placing out of specific language courses may replace those credits with literature and/or culture courses.
